01. "The Ocean" Led Zeppelin
it seems like an unending journey for me to go thru my zep catalog, especially when every live version of a song has a complete different mind blowing solo by jimmy page. however i can never get enough of this one, it was the song that just really told me how amazing zeppelin is and why have i been denying that since 4th grade i don't know. it shot them right up to my no.6 fav band of all time for me. oh this is also slash's fav zep riff too, which got me listening to it in the first place.

02. "DOA" Foo Fighters
the new album is surprisingly far better than i would have ever expected since it's a double album. this is my fav track after "Best of You" which i have already played to death.

03. "Give It All" Rise Against
i saw "Swing Life Away" on the charts and checked them out, wasn't really hooked on that one at the time coz it was an acoustic. i probably wouldn't think too much of Green Day either if the first song i heard of theirs was "Good Riddance". then i was at Star Bar and they played the video for this one on mute and looked like it rocked. came back home and first thing i did was listen to this track and damn did it rocked. the album really kicks ass too. "i'm living for my dying wish" is my fav line off this track.

04. "Finally Woken" Jem
like most people i heard Jem through the OC soundtrack with her track "Just A Ride". i love a lot of the stuff on the first OC mix, but Jem's the first one that i actually dig the whole album of an artist off of OC.

05. "Speak For Me" Cat Power
i've been discovering more and more great female songwriters lately and Cat Power is pretty high up on the list of my recent discoveries. one of the many awesome things about iTunes is the celebrity playlist which i scour from time to time to see what other artist (who are probably music lovers too) are listening to. i think i found Cat Power's cover of the Stone's "Satisfaction" on Shirley Manson's list which is another awesome track.

06. "Tornado Of Souls" Megadeth
dave mustaine is truly an inspiration to me in so many ways, i dont think i can go by a week without some Megadeth, it's worse than nicotine addiction for me. every song on Rust In Peace just blows my mind away every time i listen to it. not that anybody cares, but dave just announced in Argentina that MEGS will continue to record with the new line up! i would have been surprised if he didn't. i finally completed my Megadeth collection by getting the remastered version of "Killing is my business...". can't wait for the new dvd's to come out by end of the year.

07. "Attack" 30 Seconds To Mars
i been anticipating the new album for months before the original release date for Aug 16. then it got pushed back to end of Aug and i got to hear the lead single on their myspace and damn it was one of those songs where my world just completely stopped on the first listen. the lyrics on this one was just really close to how i was feeling at the time. i just think Jared Leto is an amazing actor and songwriter, 2 very different beasts which he does really well.

08. "All Because Of You" U2
i just couldn't drown myself in the new U2 like i did with All That You Can't Leave Behind. for ATYCLB, i literally played that to death for a year straight that my brother had to ban me from playing U2 in the house in 2001 for a couple months. sonically i think the new album is great, and it's really starting to grow on me. i still think the feedback noise at the beginning of this track is so fucking annoying and redundant. but hey i'm sure the Edge knows best.

09. "Lovely 2 C U" Goldfrapp
a girl at work got me into Goldfrapp. when someone tells me they love electronica and her fav artist is Goldfrapp, that curiosity alone can kill me. next to MIA, Goldfrapp's 'Supernature' is definitely my latest fav dance cd.

10. "Ceremony" New Order
i'm really loving this track right now for some reason. it's probably the oldest track from them that i love. the new double DVD Item is just awesome. another great band that went under my radar while i was still living in Malaysia. i still can't find an anchor song for Joy Division to hook me onto though.
